Menu Plan for Week 102 with Trim Healthy Mama
The menu plan for week 102 continues to follow the Trim Healthy Mama eating plan. My main goal for the week is to utilize leftovers and clean out the refrigerator. It is sometimes tricky trying to reduce the stores in the refrigerator while maintaining a great menu plan. We will be traveling for 2 weeks at the end of this meal rotation, and an empty refrigerator would make me happy.
The breakfast plan for week 102 (aside from the weekend) leans heavily on E and FP offerings. I am finding that if I can do an entire day of E meals I get a jump start on my weight loss and my energy level. This week I am trying something entirely new. I am planning an entire day of FP meals on Thursday. Hopefully I will be able to manage my cravings for one day! As an aside, when I include Greek yogurt and cottage cheese in my meals, it is always no fat. I get my no fat Greek yogurt at Costco and my fat free cottage cheese at either Aldi or Kroger.

The lunch plan for week 102 is filled with FP meals. I will admit that utilizing Fuel Pull recipes has not been on the top of my “to do” list, but after reading about successful jump starts to the THM eating plan, I have decided to give them a try. I have been maintaining my weight, but after the 2 week no cheat challenge and dropping additional pounds, I want to give some of the lighter fare meals a shot. Plus…I am going on vacation next week and any additional weight loss is a plus! The soup and shake are new. I am making another batch of the white gazpacho that we thoroughly enjoyed, however this time I will make the FP version, using yogurt in the place of sour cream.

The dinners planned for week 102 are geared for refrigerator and freezer clearance. The Thursday FP dinner may not be a man pleaser but I want to give it a try. The salad we have had in the past and not only did it feed us several meals, but it was quite satisfying. I love it when a salad can be enjoyed for more than one meal!

So there it is…another week planned. My only hurdle will be brunch. There is a fine line between being polite, being hungry, and staying on plan. Sometimes I use “being polite” as an excuse to cheat!
Last week did have several new successful entries. I made the Bust a Myth Banana Cake for the second time and will make it often…a quick breakfast, delicious snack and great dessert after an E meal. BAM cake is a keeper. The two new recipes I tried were exceptional as well.
The Berry Crisp…Yum. I used a combination of strawberries and rhubarb. Delish!

I faced my continuing fear of the Instant Pot and with the guidance of my daughter we made the chicken and rice. This is Comfort Food and easily enjoyed when there has been so little carb during the week.

While this menu plan task is conquered…another looms. I now need to create a menu plan, and provisioning list for our timeshare vacation. I have found in the past that the more organized I am in preparation, the less time I spend shopping and cooking. I am excited, but the next few days will be filled with organizational tasks.
As we continue our healthy eating, I hope to be able to plan a great vacation keeping the meals within the THM guidelines. It will definitely be a task, but worth it in the long run!
Bon Appetit.
