Quick Old Fashioned Cole Slaw

18863758842_5dcc384636_bWhen I served the Carolina Pulled Pork, I knew it should be paired with cole slaw.  After all this is a southern tradition.  Since I had cabbage, carrots and Marzetti’s Original Cole Slaw dressing in the refrigerator, I was all set.  This may sound too easy to be good, but believe me, the level of difficulty does not affect flavor or enjoyment whatsoever.

I use the food processor to shred the cabbage and the carrots, so making the slaw takes literally no time at all.

Instructions
  1. Remove the core of the cabbage and cut it into wedges small enough to put into the feeding tube of the food processor. Shred 3/4 of a medium cabbage.
  2. Peel the carrots. Place in the feeding tube of the food processor and grate the carrots.
  3. Put the grated carrots and cabbage into a large bowl. Add about a cup of dressing and mix well. Add additional dressing until the slaw is dressed and a creamy texture. Fold in the raisins and the celery seed. Chill and serve as a side or as a condiment on your pulled pork.
Recipe Notes

As an aside.  I have made my own homemade dressing for cole slaw, but when I want a creamy dressing the Marzetti is as good if not better than homemade.
