We recently started having a problem with ants finding our cats’ food bowls. A quick Google search presented several safe, natural options for getting rid of ants, but what we tried was CINNAMON! 
It works like a charm! We sprinkled both around the food bowls and at the entry site for the ants, and NO MORE ANTS! Plus, you get a nice cinnamon smell, and the cats don’t mind it at all. Quick, easy, cheap. Well, except for the cheap part – our ants got Saigon cinnamon! I will buy generic cinnamon next time I’m at the warehouse store. Plus this is easy to clean up, and totally safe! Next time you’re dealing with ants, you might just want to spice things up a little with cinnamon.
