Here we go again. I have another week of menus to plan and a relative short one at that. We are taking a road trip to Washington DC and spending 3 days in the capital city. With that in mind as I create the menu plan for week #37, I will make the meals special but I will also make adjustments to make them either eat once or eat once and freeze the second.
I am also researching good places to eat in Washington. If anyone out there has suggestions please let me know! One of the things we enjoy most when we travel is learning and exploring, but we also seek out great places to eat. Sometimes we plan the day around a great restaurant whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner. It doesn’t need to be 4 or 5 star, but it needs to offer interesting choices. I also appreciate good ambience. The atmosphere can make or break a meal experience for me. (The ‘Ole Buckeye, not so much). Sometimes it amazes me how much the climate and mood of a restaurant can enhance the entire dining experience. In fact, I have been keeping that in mind more and more as we dine at home as well as when we entertain. The presentation and the setting definitely enhance the food.
