OMG…It’s that time again. I guess time flies when you’re having fun…or not. After a successful week of eating last week, I had 2 meals that I did not end up making.
The first was the Holy Yum Chicken and the second the Ribeye Steaks on the Grill.
Since the ‘Ole Buckeye wanted burgers and brats on Father’s Day, I plan a grilled steak dinner for Monday. The weather should be perfect for grilling and I have the fixings for grilled avocados and salad to make for a perfect outdoor meal.
Tuesday is Family Meal Night. It is the last week of school and the girls have noon dismissal everyday this week. The 10 year old wants to learn to cook. Since I fix the family dinner on Tuesdays, I explained to her that we could cook on Tuesdays. She has the assignment to pick the menu for Tuesday. Mexican Lasagna and Pulled Pork Tacos is the decision. Oh, and she wants to make a cake…Lucky me…
Wednesday Night is Sail Race Night so it will be a grab and go for the ‘Ole Buckeye and a raid the refrigerator night for me.
Thursday Night we have tickets to see Chris Botti in Concert. We will make it a date night and have “dinner out” prior to the concert. Our biggest decision will be picking where we go.
Friday: Creamy Mushroom and Leek Chicken Breasts. I found beautiful leeks at the Farmer’s Market and they should be wonderful in this dish.
Creamy Mushroom and Leek Chicken
Saturday We have the girls most of the day, so I want a dish that doesn’t require a lot of attention. A new crock pot recipe fills the bill.
Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef
Sunday I will put the recipe for Holy Yum Chicken on the docket once again and add Balsamic Roasted Brussel Sprouts

Balsamic Roasted Brussel Sprouts
Monday: Asian Broccoli Beef
Please note that I am now making my menu plan for one week Tuesday through the following Monday beginning this week. I am having difficulty getting it all together over the weekends and having a blog ready to post. Since Tuesday is grocery day, I am forced to have everything ready to rock and roll by Tuesday morning.
I have many new recipes planned. Hopefully we will have more Hits than Misses!
