The menu plan for week 114 is complete and aggressive as well. I must admit that I have thoroughly enjoyed the past week and a half being away from home and out of the loop of meal prep since our return. Las Vegas was truly a fabulous trip for us. (We avoid the casinos entirely unless we need to pass through on our way to a performance.) We definitely do not enjoy that part of the apparent draw. We do enjoy the entertainment as well as the food, and we definitely took advantage of both offerings.
However it is now time to return to reality and attempt to stay on plan without the tempting extras. The breakfast menus for week 114 are repeats many of which are in the freezer. The two new additions are the Bacon and Egg Cottage Cheese Casserole and the Pineapple Upside Down Oatmeal. I actually think that have made the egg casserole previously, but I am not sure this is the same recipe. Regardless, I have included links to both of the new additions.

The freezer holds many of the lunches for week 114 as well. New on the docket are the Pizza in a Bowl and the Chicken Salad. I plan to make the chicken salad as a Fuel Pull and later add grapes to make it an E meal.

The dinners planned for week 114 reflect cravings…ethnic cravings. We will be traveling the world of eating with offerings from Greece, Italy, and Mexico. I will admit that often after I have been away from the kitchen I become very industrious in my planning and as the week progresses I find that I am not as industrious as I thought I would be.
I do need to figure out what I will be making for the CHKD bake sale on Sunday as well. I am trying to determine if I should make something “sugar free” or something that is appealing to most of the crowd. Maybe both…

It is always good to travel and experience new things, but it is also good to be home and prepare for the upcoming holiday season. Each and every year I say I will start early, and each and every year I regret not starting early enough. This year it appears that the “gift giving” has been curtailed (aside from the kiddos.) I am wondering just how much that will effect the overall holiday spirit??? We will be spending Christmas at home for the first time in many years. I do want to make the holiday extra special. We are so very fortunate that we have the entire family here together and we will all be “home” for the holidays.
As November progresses we will continue our healthy eating and I will be looking for ways to convert many family favorites into THM compliant offerings. There are always a few family favorites that will remain untouched to maintain tradition. I think a taste of traditional family favorites is worth it. I just need to remember moderation.
So cheers to travel, and the upcoming holidays. I am looking forward to making more memories with family, food and fun. Bon Appetit!
