Holiday Baking Day 1

Day 1 of my holiday baking has commenced.  I am planning to do a variety of both savory and sweet treats for the days ahead.  Because so many Christmas traditions revolve around food favorites, I have decided to create both treats for those of us eating on the THM plan, and the lucky ones.  Actually, I am learning that many of the on plan treats are just as delicious as those loaded with sugar, but I know that my family would be disappointed if their favorites did not make an appearance.

With day 1 of holiday baking complete, I am happy with not only the tried and true traditional favorites, but I am really happy with the new THM compliant trials.  With a successful day of baking, I am making a list for the next day in the kitchen.

I love the holidays!  (So does the ‘Ole Buckeye!)  In fact he actually joined me in the kitchen to learn to make chex mix (second batch), and I don’t eat it.  He did great aside from adding 4 teaspoons of seasoned salt instead of 1.  Lots of liquid refreshment required with the newest batch.

Let the joy of the holiday season continue…Bon Appetit’!
