Chesapeake Bay Shrimp
Make the perfect Chesapeake Bay Shrimp by using McCormick’s Seafood Seasoning.
Do you need a great way to prepare your frozen or fresh shrimp in the shell? Here it is. Just be sure to watch your shrimp carefully. Do not overcook. They will be flavorful enough to peel and eat right out of the shell. They are perfect to add to your favorite shrimp and grits recipe. If you don’t have one…try mine!

Ingredients
- 1 Cup Beer
- 1 Cup water
- 2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 2 Tbsp Seafood Seasoning I used Chesapeake Bay Style Seafood Seasoning
- 1 Pound Shrimp Shell on Shrimp

Instructions
- Bring the first 4 ingredients to a boil. Add the shrimp, reduce the heat to low and cover. Stir once or twice and watch carefully until the shrimp are pink. Do not overcook or the shrimp will be tough. Remove from the liquid with a slotted spoon and allow to cool.
Recipe Notes
These are delicious to shell and eat just as they are. This is the perfect way to prepare the shrimp for my shrimp and grits recipe. The seasoned shrimp are delicious.
