2020 Week 4 Menu Plan

The 2020 Week 4 Menu Plan is created to get us back on track with the Trim Healthy Mama eating plan. Over the holidays and during travel these last weeks have lead to eating off plan, gaining weight and feeling sluggish. It is time to return to THM. I will be planning at least one E meal each day, trying some new sippers and snacks, as well as taking advantage of eat again meals stowed away in the freezer.

Breakfast Menu

The breakfasts planned for 2020 Week 4 include a return to a Berry Oat Breakfast Cake that I made early on in the THM journey. I had planned to make it again a few weeks ago, but never did. It will be nice to know if we still enjoy it. The ‘Ole Buckeye constantly reminds me that we have eaten great meals over the past few years and I often forget to make our favorites once again. I plan to refine our favorites and add to a rotating meal plan for the future. The rest of the breakfasts are definitely in our top loves.

Lunch Menu

The lunches planned for 2020 week 4 will feature several new recipes. I wanted to incorporate more E meals at lunch and decided to try a few front runners from my favorite blogs.

Cheesy Sausage and Cabbage

Overnight Stuffed French Toast

Lovin’ Tex Mex Skillet

Taco Salad Crunch

Snickers Hot Cocoa

Dinner Menu

The dinners planned for 2020 week 4 are all repeats except the crack chicken. Our daughter is out of town for part of the week and I have dinners for two in the freezer that will be perfect for just the two of us. Aside from the crack chicken, the others are favorites. I normally have a “night off” when I have Bunco, but on Tuesday I am on a meal rotation for a family facing illness. I will make the meatball casserole in advance, enough for their delivery as well as an eat again dinner for the ‘Ole Buckeye.

Recap of the Week

I am beginning 2020 Week 4 with the sinus congestion and cough that has been going around the area since the holidays. I am glad I have easy meals the beginning of the week, with most of the ingredients on hand. It is cold here and I don’t plan to venture out feeling the way that I do.

My recap of week 3 will be highlighted in the road trip to Atlanta blogs. I will admit that we did not eat properly, but we did enjoy eating. I guess that is part of the problem with facing enticing food and lacking the will power to obstain. It is so much easier eating at home. (Easier to stay on plan, not necessarily easier to prepare!) My goal is to get back on track.

Here’s to a return to healthy eating in 2020. Bon Appetit.
