2022 Week 6 Menu Plan
The 2022 week 6 menu plan is complete. I have decided to be more determined in following a healthy eating plan. I have become very lackadaisical. It is time for me to get with the program and be aggressive.
Breakfast
I am planning shakes and smoothies for breakfast. The ‘Ole Buckeye has pecan pancake, pineapple oatmeal and eggs left over from week 5. I want to begin the morning with beverages, not only because I enjoy them, but also to encourage me to take part in breakfast instead of skipping it completely. Several of these drinks I have had previously, several are new.
Low Carb Peanut Butter Milkshake
Banana Peanut Butter Protein Shake
Lunch
The 2022 week 6 lunch plan relies heavily on soup. Winter is the perfect time for soup and we love the Zuppa Toscana…for lunch as well as dinner. The cauliflower soup is new.
Dinner
Dinners for the week rely heavily on eat again offerings. I have been reorganizing my kitchen cabinets and purging/utilizing what I have on hand. With that said, I have a huge jar of Giardinera…thus the new slow cooker pot roast. I had trouble last week with my spaghetti squash and ended up making traditional carbonara. That being said in order to salvage the squash, I will give the feta pasta a try. We have 2 celebration days…Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day. We have decided to do heavy appetizers and possibly keto pizza for Super Bowl Sunday and I have not decided on a meal for Valentine’s Day. I just know we will eat at home…going out on Valentine’s Day is a nightmare and always disappointing.

Hits and Misses
We enjoyed a week of successful meals. Although most were repeats they are worth a repeat link.
This soup was a new recipe and on the menu because of an overstock of canned pumpkin. I enjoyed it…the ‘Ole Buckeye not so much. Too much onion for him..
This taco soup was an additonal new recipe. Excellent. I make so many new soups that it is seldom that the ‘Ole Buckeye gives accolades…but this one received high honors and will go onto the rotation.
My favorite kale salad by far…
I revised an old family recipes for chicken a la king making it more compliant. I added fresh peas instead of pimento. This new recipe is a keeper. I will post it in the future.
This new keto biscuit recipe was prepared to go with the chicken a la king. I simply “dropped” the batter…the next time I will use a muffin form. They completely flattened out…but they were really good and the perfect accompaniment for the a la king.
Recap
We had a really great week of eating and one benefit is the myriad of eat again meals for week 6. We continue our eating adventures and exploring healthy choices. Bon Appetit.
