2025 Week 16 Menu Plan

The 2025 week 16 menu plan is complete.

Breakfast

Breakfast cakes are on the menu this week. The Berry Oat Cake is a tried and true favorite and I am trying a new Blackberry Coffee Cake for the Easter weekend. If I have time I plan to make the granola to have on hand.

Lunch

As usual I have lots of left overs to supply several lunches during the week. I do plan a new soup that looks interesting. On Easter since we are having a family dinner, we have decided to graze on appetizers over the course of the afternoon until dinner is served.

Dinner

Grapes are on sale again which leads to a favorite recipe from Rachael Ray. I have a new salmon recipe on board and a tried and true bucatini. The big experiment is on Easter. No one wanted ham and I have a brisket in the freezer. I also have a new recipe straight from the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Fingers crossed that it lives up to the hype!

Hits and Misses

The salad and soup prepared last week were both abundant in number of servings. They were “fine”, but will not reappear on the rotation. I did appreciate the ease of prep for the lentil soup…the lentils were cooked perfectly and I will use this method in the future for my other lentil soup recipes.

Recap

We spent 3 days in Williamsburg and although it was chilly we had a wonderful time. We introduced ourselves to 2 new restaurants Berret’s Seafood and Kephi Greek Kitchen and enjoyed several of our favorites…Food for Thought  and Amber Ox. The very best new find was the Greek restaurant Kephi. We will definitely be back! We drove by a Spanish restaurant…La Tienda Tapas Bar and Market. It is on my list for our next visit. We had an enjoyable “stay-cation” and now look forward to our Easter celebration. Bon Appetit!
