Menu Plan Week #29
Well…last week certainly went fast! In fact the days since Labor Day have literally flown by. Is it true that the older we get the faster the time goes? If these past weeks are any indication, I had better begin the holiday baking NOW! It seems as if I created a meal plan just yesterday, and here we are once again. Meal Plan #29 features new, tried and true, meatless, and “clean out the refrigerator” recipes.
We will be traveling over the Thanksgiving holiday. We will be gone for nearly a week so once again I need to reduce the possibility of spoilage. That in itself takes creativity. I constantly review what might spoil and adapt my meal plan, especially the sides, to accomplish that goal.
I achieved a goal last week by using more lean meat. My sister has been doing this for sometime and is loosing her “muffin”. It is time for me to do the same. I will post my thoughts on my leaner meat meals soon.
This week’s plan has numerous “Cook Once/Eat Twice” meals as well as some new recipes. Many of the sides I have planned will utilize the perishables in the refrigerator.
Once again the plan is made and the grocery run completed. Let the cooking and eating begin!
