The 2022 week 41 menu plan is complete. Thank God our refrigerator was repaired yesterday and nearly ready to use again! I can go grocery shopping.
Aside from the recipe for Chicken a la King, all of the recipes for the week have been taken from 2 cookbooks…Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook and Plant You.
The week is filled with new recipes.
Breakfast
All of the breakfasts planned for the week are from the Plant You Cookbook. I have had this book for some time, but have not spent a lot of time investigating the recipes. Utilizing this cookbook is a current goal.
Lunch
I have returned to the Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook because many of the recipes are plant based. I have determined that Pearl and Serene’s philosophy is definitely worth inclusion as I continue educating myself on nutrition. All of the lunch recipes are from their cookbook.
Dinner
Aside from the chicken a la King all of the dinner entrees are from the Plant You Cookbook. I am also planning to try the mushroom quinoa as a side at one of my meals.
Recap
Last week (without the use of a full refrigerator and freezer) was not a fun week in the kitchen. It required constant reorganizing and running back and forth to the garage. We were able to eat fairly well, but definitely ran low on fresh foods that needed refrigeration. I will be very glad to stock up once again. I waited to form a menu plan and a grocery list until I knew that repairs would be completed. It is cooling and ready to restock. Off to the grocery I go. Bon Appetit!
