Week 6, 2019 with Trim Healthy Mama

The menu plan for week 6 continues the fuel cycle challenge that began on Saturday.  The cycle continues with a THM E day on Tuesday, followed by two Fuel Pull days, and finishing with a Deep S day.  When I did my first challenge last fall the Fuel Pull days were the most difficult.  This time I plan to  be more prepared.  I want to have a variety of options for snacks and desserts on those days.   I have some drinks planned and both of the berry cobblers can also be used as snacks or desserts with other meals.  The final Deep S meal will finish out the cycle on Friday.  I will then return to regular THM menus.  I do plan to include more E and FP meals each day to continue the progress I made during the challenge.  Luckily I have individually packaged E meals tucked away in the freezer.  They will come in handy toward the end of the week.

I have only a few new breakfasts on the menu for week 6, the two berry cobblers.  Since I have a stash of E meals in the freezer, I can also use these cobblers as snacks or desserts.  I have also included two drink options on the FP days to keep me from getting too hungry.

Spiced Caramel Cappuccino   THM FP

Blackberry Cobbler   THM FP

Berry Cobbler   THM FP

Cranberry Nog   THM FP

Lunches during week 6 include a favorite…the white gazpacho (FP version), as well as a new wrap, a new FP Southwest chicken and a new S recipe for Cauliflower Soup.  Hopefully all will be successful enough to be included in the future.

Crockpot Creamy Southwest Chicken   THM FP

White Gazpacho   THM FP (using fat free stock and no fat Greek Yogurt)

Chicken, Bacon, Avocado, Ranch Lettuce Wraps   THM S

Cauliflower Soup   THM S

Dinners for week 6 feature four new meals.  Initially I had forgotten that I have Bunco (on an E day no less).  I will eat before I go and be as gracious as possible at dinner.  The Theme is Texas Broncin’ BarBQue Bunco.  I am certain the dinner will be fabulous but I am determined to stay on plan.  Eating an E meal there will be difficult, so I will eat leftover Orange chicken and try to be gracious with what is served.  Both of the new FP  recipes planned are an attempt to provide more satisfying meals.  The fuel pull days of this cycle are the most difficult for me.  My cravings skyrocket.   The cycle will end on Friday and hopefully Costco continues to have wild caught salmon.  I have tried to include salmon as often as it is available.  I am ending the week two new crock pot recipes.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken Breasts   THM FP

Turkey Meatballs   THM FP

Angel’s Cake   THM FP

Best Oven Baked Chicken Breast   THM Deep S

Crockpot Marinated Pork Loin   THM Deep S

Slow Cooker Crack Chicken   THM S

At the completion of the fuel cycle on Friday and a return to the normal THM eating, I am consciously planning more Deep S meals and including either an E meal or a FP meal each and every day.  I also want to include more between meal beverages, especially sippers.  I am very determined to get back on track and continue not only with my weight loss, but also increasing my energy level.  I have become very sedentary over these past months…rainy, cold weather, hours in the car and sitting with my granddaughter, and a variety of other excuses.
