Week 86…I refuse to say it again, however I am definitely thinking it. My life is segmented into days and things that I do each day. Once my routine is accomplished, the rest of the day is mine to do as I please, or, more often than not, to do what has become necessary. I try to work and plan ahead, because total freedom seems to be what I seek most when I wakeup in the morning. Who knew after years and years of working, I still have the same thoughts when I awaken. But...time flies! (There, I said it again).
With those thoughts in the back of my head, I am struggling to create a new menu plan. It has occurred to me that this process is indeed not a necessity, but as I made lunch yesterday (after looking at the menu plan), I realized that if I made the Rustic Farmer’s Omelet I would finish up my zucchini, mushrooms, and peppers that needed to be eaten. In addition I would have an eat twice lunch to look forward to. Better yet, by planning ahead, I always have the ingredients that are needed…always.
In an attempt to jump start my weight loss once again, I have spent some time researching more “E” meals and fuel pull offerings. I will be incorporating several in the meal plan for week 86.
There are a lot of new recipes for breakfast during week 86, some that I am a bit uncertain about–the chocolate oatmeal for instance. I love chocolate, but with oatmeal??? I am becoming more and more daring as I read reviews from my favorite THM bloggers.
Brownie Batter Chocolate Oatmeal THM E
Cottage Cheese Berry Delight THM FP
Salted Caramel Protein Mocha Frappuccino THM FP
Peanut Butter Cup Shake THM S
Low Fat Banana Bread Smoothie THM E
Lunches always seem to be the most difficult for planning, and week 86 is no exception. I continue to have chicken sausage links on hand as well as a huge tub of fresh spinach, so part of the planning this time was relatively easy. In addition I found an interesting quiche recipe in the original THM cookbook that is also a Fuel Pull, so week 86 is planned.

The dinner plans for week 86 include only one new recipe, the Barbacoa Beef. The rest of the meals consist of tried and true favorites. My daughter Amy will be making her unbelievably delicious “Paleo Chili” on Sunday.
Lazy Spinach Lasagna THM S
Succulent Barbacoa Beef THM S Trim Healthy Table page 108
Emeril’s Pan Roasted Pork Chops THM S
Salmon Piccata THM S
Ranch Hand Taco Salad THM E Trim Healthy Table page 200
There were no new additions on the menu plan from this past week except the Taco Casserole which is on the docket for this evening. If it is successful, I will review it next time.
The week ahead will prove to be interesting for me. I look forward to learning if I will be satisfied eating more E meals and Fuel Pull Options. Hopefully by readjusting the number of S meals, I will shed a few more pounds. Although that is not the goal, I feel I have been in a stall for several weeks now, and I would like to maintain a “moving forward” pace, however slow it might be.
As we continue our healthy eating, we look forward to another week of meals following the THM plan. Bon Appetit!
