It hardly seems possible that another year has passed since we celebrated Mom’s birthday. We had a party last year and so much fun.
I am thinking, even though I have a ton of cookies left from the holidays, that I will make a cake today.

I just finished baking a chocolate cake. I don’t bake very often anymore…and seldom make cakes, but today is special. Today is my mother’s birthday…your great grandmother Lucia would have been 92 today. She has been gone for nearly 6 years, but I still think of her everyday.
