Instant Pot Beef Stew – A Yummy Recipe
In my continuing quest to try new “Instant Pot” recipes, last night I made beef stew. With the change in weather (last night was our first hard frost), we are all hankering for some comfort food. I found this recipe on another new site for me “pressurecookrecipes.com“. The site is written by a couple who live in Hong Kong and develop recipes for pressure cooker manufacturers. They have a wide variety of recipes, certainly not just oriental in style.
However, there may be a twist at times. Like in this recipe, one of the ingredients is fish sauce. Hmmm, I thought, how good is that going to be? Maybe I should look for another, safer recipe. But, I took the leap of faith and boy, am I glad I did. We all loved the stew! All of us, from age 4 to 70, loved it! This is definitely a repeater.
Comforting Pressure Cooker Beef Stew Recipe
15 minutes prep to make this homey pressure cooker beef stew. Juicy tender brisket paired with rich thick tomato sauce. This hearty comforting dish is so satisfying and easy to eat. Deliciously perfect over pasta, rice, or just eat it as is!
Just FYI. This recipe takes longer to cook than most instant pot recipes (70 minutes at pressure plus natural pressure release if you are using a tough cut of beef…lesser time for more tender cuts) but remember the instant pot will keep food warm for up to 10 hours when it is finished cooking so you can start it in the morning and come home to a tasty meal and a home that smells yummy!
