The 2024 week 1 menu plan is complete, but it will look quite familiar. The final menu plan of 2023 took an unexpected turn. Our buckeye bash menu changed even though I had made the sausage mac casserole. The grand girls had other plans and since it is a favorite of their’s I have delayed serving it until they can enjoy it with us. My daughter invited us for New Year’s Eve at her home. In the meantime the ‘Ole Buckeye came down with a nasty sinus congestion and flu like illness. He was in bed early on Saturday and all day on New Year’s Eve. He continues feeling under the weather on the first day of the year. That being said, I have lots of meals from the last week of ’23 both prepared and unprepared that will appear on the first menu plan of 2024.

Lunch
The eat again soup recipes can be found here. To round out the week I have 2 farro salads that look interesting and worth a try. I am trying to incorporate as many colors in my salads as possible and these fit the bill as well as offering unique flavor profiles.
Dinner
Our dinners for the week are a mix of leftovers and new recipes, as well as incorporating some vegan offerings.

Although I planned to start the new year with a fresh approach to menu planning, I have been forced to complete what was previously planned last week. My new approach in planing my future menus will focus on specific blogs and personalities that I follow for information and education. In the new year I want to utilize one specific viewpoint when planning the week’s menu.
