Healthy Slow Cooker “Refried” Beans
This is a VERY easy way to make delicious “refried” beans for tacos, burritos or just Frijoles. They are fat free but no one would know! Much more flavorful than canned and much less expensive! Adapted from: Refried Beans without the Refry at Allrecipes.com

  1. Put all ingredients in the slow cooker.
  2. Cook on high for 8 hours. Drain, reserving liquid.
  3. Mash with potato masher if you like them to show some bean pieces. Add reserved liquid as needed to get the consistency you want. Whiz them in a food processor if you like the consistency of canned beans.
